In 2024, Hurricanes Helene and Melton devastated our community. The flooding caused by the storms resulted in the complete loss of 70% of all my belongings. Faced with the aftermath, I was eager to restore what I had lost, seeking a dire need for comfort, normalcy, and stability.
When I moved into my place, my bedroom was just a blank canvas—a shell painted entirely in Sherwin-Williams Alabaster White. With nothing but a mattress, I knew I wanted to prioritize this space first.

I added a light beige vertical grasscloth wallpaper behind the bedframe to add texture to the space. The subtle vertical lines create a sense of height and warmth, while the natural linen drapery adds airiness and body, enhancing the overall room to feel more luxurious. I also found vintage nightstands that came with a partial glass top; replacing the glass with Calacatta Viola Marble was a no-brainer.

Facebook Marketplace has become my favorite destination for hunting down vintage pieces. This mid-century walnut desk I found fit perfectly next to my cool, textured grey rug, adding a contemporary touch to the room.

I had always envisioned a dark and moody bathroom, a serene retreat where I could unwind. To bring that dream to life, I chose the same featured wallpaper in black for the entire room. This choice envelops the space in depth and warmth. Now, every bath feels like an indulgent escape, allowing me to soak in the rich ambiance I’ve created for myself.
